Grease Interceptor Installation

A grease interceptor needs to suit the fixtures it serves and remain accessible for cleaning. Spivak Plumbing installs commercial grease interceptors in Toronto and York Region. We work from the equipment specifications and project requirements. For a restaurant fit-out, settle the plumbing layout before surrounding counters and finishes are completed.

Information we need

Send the business type, fixture schedule and selected equipment details if available. A change in use may affect what is appropriate for the space. The project team should confirm the applicable design and municipal requirements. Guessing a unit’s suitability from the floor area alone misses important details. Drawings and manufacturer information give the plumbing discussion a firmer starting point.

Location and connections

The unit must work with the drainage layout and the available installation space. Review clearances with the actual equipment, including the access needed to remove covers and carry out cleaning. A unit squeezed behind permanent cabinetry can be difficult to service. Identify what surrounding construction needs to be open and who is responsible for preparing that access before installation is scheduled.

During the fit-out

General contractors and property contacts should identify who supplies the interceptor and who approves changes. The plumbing scope needs to explain the connections and alterations included. For occupied premises in Vaughan or Markham, discuss which fixtures will be unavailable during the work. Changes to equipment after the connections are planned can affect the installation, so communicate substitutions before they arrive on site.

After installation

The business needs a cleaning and maintenance routine for the installed model. Keep the instructions and assign responsibility for that work. Installation does not replace ongoing care by the operator. Include your city and project stage in an inquiry. We can review the plumbing portion, the access available and what needs to be confirmed before a visit is booked. Have any available product instructions or previous service records ready for the discussion. They can help identify what has changed and what still needs to be checked at the property.
